After a long period of composing and recording, Juan Zelada returns in 2026 with a new album, “Tension and Release”! Following the compilation album “Birds Chirping” (2024), which included the EPs “Cool Mood” (2022) and “Al otro lado” (2023), he returns to the sound of timeless songs with a vintage feel and a cast of great musicians, recorded at Cool Mood Studios, Madrid. His live show is always powerful, full of soulful energy and catchy songs, seeking interaction with the audience in both English and Spanish. The first single, “What if time,” will be released in January on streaming platforms, once again capturing the groovy and evocative character of his best-known tracks. The rest of the album will offer a contrast of stories and hopeful reflections, with his eclectic musicality, both “retro” and “fresh.” After his nearly 10-year journey through the United Kingdom, with proven successes, being played on the BBC, touring the UK, Juan Zelada has now been settled in Spain for more than 10 years, offering 5 more albums, powerful concerts, border songs, collaborations with nationally established artists, and countless new songs that demonstrate his dedication, commitment and love for music.
