An underground free jazz act.
Jutra is an alt-jazz quintet from Trójmiasto, Poland, blending groove-driven improvisation with rich melodic writing and a cinematic sense of space. Their music moves between hypnotic rhythms and evolving forms, drawing from Chicago’s beat-focused jazz (Makaya McCraven, Jeff Parker), the cinematic soul of Melbourne’s scene, and the raw emotional clarity of Ethio-jazz. Their second album, A Mid-Sized Universe, was developed over a year-long process of live recording, overdubbing, and reworking material that grew out of improvisation. The result is immersive but restless — music that invites you in, then keeps unfolding.
