English: JUUK is a folk-rock band formed by several musicians from the Latvian underground scene. They draw their musical influences from alternative country and dark folk – genres of music that are only seldom heard in Latvia despite the nation's obsession with sadness and grief. Latvian: JUUK ar latviešu drūvestības un humora izjūtu savā mūzikā iespēlē Amerikas un Eiropas (tostarp Latvijas) folkmūzikas, roka un senās mūzikas ietekmes. Mēs cenšamies nedziedāt muļķības, tādēļ līdzās oriģināltekstiem bieži skan gatava dzeja un folklora, bet mūsu galvenais vilcējspēks ir stāstniecība – dziesmās, melodijās un sarunās ar klausītājiem koncertos.
