Jay Stax
Although his alias “Jay Stax” is attracting a lot of attention, the young Jared Statie remains down to earth. Jay Stax recently won the Zsa Zsa Su Amsterdam DJ Contest and also ‘The Curacao DJ Battle’ that was hosted by The Flying Dutch Curacao. Jared started dabbling in music when he was eight years old by following lessons in mandolin and cuarta and performing in a church choir. At the age of ten his father introduced him to the world of DJ’s. “My dad installed a computer in my room and because he used to be a DJ in college, he installed music mixing software for me and taught me some of the basics,” says Jared. His style is geared towards electronic dance music, Urban and allot more. As shown during his first gigs as a DJ at private parties, weddings and grand openings, Jared can mix a large range of music and provide a memorable experience. Jared’s focus is to eventually play at some of the big dance festivals, such as Tomorrowland or Tomorrow World. “I believe that just like my inspiration Hardwell, everyone should try the utmost to make their dreams a reality” he says. He combines his natural talent with continuous and strong efforts to become a better musician. “I’ve recently started taking piano lessons, as I want to be able to compose and produce my own songs. Jared has also played next to some big names such as Hardwell, French Montana, Lil Kleine, Migos, DJ Chuckie, Poke, Broederliefde, Freddy Moreira, DJ Moortje & many more.
