An underground dark pop artist.
Katy Erin is a television writer, actor, filmmaker, and musical artist. Named an playlist must-add by Rolling Stone Magazine, Katy Erin’s music has been described as being “rich in dynamic versatility, equally sultry and swaggery with wades of pop intersected between creative fits.” Most recently, she released her single Battle Chatter, which was praised by HypeHub as having "movie-like tension that feels both raw and carefully crafted," while We Write About Music called it "a masterclass in songwriting." This release, characterized by its dark pop sound with elements of trip hop and a tinge of grunge, serves as the lead single for her upcoming EP of the same name. This follows the sultry, chamber-pop sounds of her previous hit single Blush. In 2024, she released her debut EP, Coffee & Cigarettes, an eclectic collection of music and exploration of style, all of which she wrote, composed, and co-produced. The EP showcases Katy’s genre-bending tendencies, unique vocals, and poetic (and often tongue-in-cheek) lyrics.
