The daughter of a jazz and blues guitarist and music teacher, Kelly grew up in a house where funk, roots music and the blues sounds of American origins were simply the air she breathed, before she could even choose what to listen to. That ear was built without trying. And now she is putting it to work. She spent years building her sound in the underground. What makes her stand out is something most producers cannot fake: she carries the groove in her DNA. Blues, funk and jazz raised her. The underground house scene shaped her.
