Kiddy Smile is an artist who defies categorization. DJ, singer, filmmaker, and performer, he has become a central figure of the European queer scene at the intersection of music, fashion, and contemporary art. Born in Paris, he grew up influenced by pop, gospel, and ballroom cultures, shaping an artistic language that is both political and sensual, where the body becomes a statement and celebration an act of resistance. His rise has been striking. He has collaborated with FKA twigs, opened for Madonna on her Madame X Tour in 2019, performed behind the decks for Grace Jones, and walked in Jean Paul Gaultier’s final Haute Couture show in 2020. In 2023, he sang at the Opéra Bastille for its 350th anniversary and in 2024 closed the Paris Paralympic Games ceremony. Beyond visibility, his work is driven by a commitment to telling Black and queer stories from the margins. In 2024, he directed Drift, a film on Black representation in French media presented at the Lyon Biennale. In 2025, he released Dear Mother with Anne Cutaïa, exploring memory and queer transmission. He now returns to music with Repris de Justesse, an intimate EP set for release in early 2026.
