Shaped by three continents and countless musical traditions, Kolo is a recording artist, lyricist, and producer redefining what global hip-hop can sound like. Born in Japan, raised between Belgium and Nigeria, and later settling in Atlanta, Kolo pairs thoughtful lyricism with globally inspired production to create music rooted in curiosity, culture, and connection. Since emerging in 2023, Kolo has generated more than 250 million views across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. His breakout single "They Know Us" has surpassed 1 million Spotify streams, while What It Means to See It All, an album built around sampling music from cultures around the world, has amassed more than 1.5 million streams across platforms. As a producer, Kolo also contributed "Cacos De Vidro" to Brazilian superstar BK's acclaimed album Diamantes, Lágrimas e Rostos para Esquecer. The record has generated more than 150 million streams and won Rap Song of the Year at Brazil's Multishow Awards. Now, Kolo is stepping into his next era with SONATA, an eight-track collaborative project with GRAMMY-nominated producer 6ix. Produced by 6ix and co-produced by Kolo, the project explores risk-taking and taking the leap, pairing the raw energy of a mixtape with the intention of an album while showcasing Kolo's thoughtful lyricism, production, and global perspective. SONATA arrives in 2026.
