Konstantinos Tsahouridis
Konstantinos Tsahouridis was born in Veria, Greece. Already at the age of 8 he had made his mark as perceptive performer & sensitive interpreter. He has studied with Diana Stuart, Jeffery Talbot and Norman Beedie; he has participated in various concerts, festivals, musicals, masterclasses, TV & Radio productions, BBC recordings, ceremonies at various venues such as: South Bank Centre of London, Theatre of Herodus Atticus, Athens Concert Hall, St. Pancras Cathedral & others. Konstantinos has performed works by Handel, Rutter, Tavener, Verdi, Schubert & the musical piece “Lament for Constantinople” by Sir John Tavener. In 2004 he started his collaboration with the Greek composer Mimis Plessas in a TV series called Niovi’s Children producing two soundtracks. Three world premieres of the same composer follow: Kosmas o Aitolos (2005), St. Paul (2006) and the music monography Holy Memories (2007); the first two were arranged, performed, produced and conceived by Konstantinos. Since 2012, Konstantinos conceives, produces and is the main soloist of the musical entity “Body & Soul”, a performance that goes beyond borders, a musical concert that has achieved many sold out concerts around the globe such as Australia, Canada, Russia, Iraq, Sweden, Germany, England, Cyprus, Norway, etc. Konstantinos is currently a lecturer at the University of Western Macedonia in Greece. He recently finished his post-doctoral research on the institunalization of oral/aural traditions in Greece.
