Krāsa is a Latvian five-piece rock band founded in 2015, creating heavy, atmospheric walls of sound that blend shoegaze and post-rock. “We mumble about relationships, liberty, emotional burdens, Latvian farming and other issues, passions and shoes. We are pioneers of nightmare rock, and now this subgenre is helping the country sell aspirin.” Krāsa released their first EP “Viss ir kārtībā” in January 2018, followed exactly two years later by their debut studio album, “Ak dievs, ko par mums teiks citplanētieši” (2020), which received a nomination for the Annual Latvian Music Recording Award "Zelta Mikrofons" in the Rock Album of the Year category. In July 2026, the band released their second studio album, “Samierināšanās Mehānisms”, which explores anger, forgiveness, ghosts of the past and the uneasy space between resistance and acceptance.
