An underground, homegrown hip hop artist.
L. Scatter brings such a unique and different energy to the mic, a premier wordsmith refusing to be boxed in. The Los Angeles emcee while being prolific in nature has never sacrificed quality in his art. This has resulted in a plethora of coverage and collaborations, the list is damn near endless between Open Mike Eagle, Project Blowed, Ras Kass and others, L. Scat’s resume is massive and speaks for itself. With a discography dating back to 1994, L. Scatter has proven for decades now that he’s not going anywhere and in fact is still getting better. As L.Scatter prepares more singles and an album for 2021, now is the time to go back and check his deep and immersive discography. Scatter’s life was immersed in the music from the jump which eventually saw him take interest and build his own legacy from there. It was his experimentation that led L.Scatter to learning he had a talent and affinity for stringing words together. “Rapping and making beats was just something that we did on a regular basis,” L. Scatter says. In fact as he entered high school, Scatter would start different hip-hop groups, one of them DXS eventually got signed to Black Coffee Management, L. Scatter soaked in all of the experience and knowledge “refining my ability in the art of freestyle and songwriting/production.” The LA artist took all of this along with his raw passion for hip-hop and ran with it, giving us the profound artist we have today. -Michael Stover
