An underground, polished experimental artist.
Late Bush is the project of Pierre Dozin, a Brussels-based composer and sound engineer with over twenty years of practice, spanning drum'n'bass and techno scenes to filmscore and contemporary music. With Hoarses (Vlek Records, 2026), Late Bush crafts a sound that is immediately arresting yet hard to place, baroque ornamentation colliding with 808 bass, hypnotic string patterns dissolving into electronic textures, vocal canons drifting into digital distortion. The music moves through early music, power ambient, IDM and avant-pop. At the heart of the album lies a deceptively simple premise: since no sonic trace of baroque music as it was actually played has survived, only scores, contradictory annotations, and educated guesses; every baroque performance today is already a reconstruction. Following that logic, AI-cloned voices become a natural extension of the chain rather than a rupture. Trained on human voices and reshaped through synthesis, they speak without a body and sing without breath, oscillating between recognizable expressivity and assumed artificiality. These spectral voices are set against the very organic strings of Echo Collective, a Brussels classical ensemble with whom Pierre has collaborated for nearly a decade, creating a radical hybridization, inherited and futuristic, somewhere between memory and simulation. Late Bush also composed the original music and sound design for Aline Bouvy's Luxembourg Pavilion at the 2026 Venice Art Biennale.
Late Bush plays experimental avant-pop and IDM, blending baroque instrumentation and classical strings with modern electronic textures and synthesized vocals.
Hoarses explores the reconstruction of baroque music through contemporary electronic production, 808 bass, and AI-cloned vocal synthesis.
