Lev Tigrovich is the alter ego of Xenia Wiener and Janos Mijnssen – a duo that combines theatre, electronic music and pop. Their songs, sung in Russian and English, celebrate ambivalence and contradiction. They call it drama pop – music that dances and thinks, sparkles and doubts in equal measure. Between pathos and play, Lev Tigrovich invent their own sound theatre in which everything is meant seriously – even the jokes. Following their debut Opera Semiseria (2022), their new EP «FILM NOIR» turns its gaze toward the present: more contemporary, bolder, more intimate. Wiener sings in Russian and English, every syllable a shade, every word a shimmer. Together, Lev Tigrovich build spaces of light and shadow in which nostalgia flickers and the present vibrates. Soundscapes of synths, drum machines, string layers, and voices move between film score and dancefloor, avant-garde and Eurovision.
