Lia Booth is one of the most relaxing singers you’ll ever hear live. She has this lovely, soft, playfulness in her delivery that makes you feel like a friend of yours is leaning in close to tell you a fun secret. When it comes to melody, she makes lots of simple, smart plays. There’s a lot of honesty in the way she approaches songs, almost like you’re getting to hear the *real* story before someone comes along and whitewashes all the best details. Her daring yet effortless musical style is rooted deeply in the past but with a contemporary sensibility that breathes new life into classic jazz standards night after night.
