Linda Lo

Linda Lo is a producer & DJ born in Oakland, currently residing in Los Angeles, California. This year marks 17 years of production experience for Lo, a practice born from a desire to synthesize the fragmented patterns of human experience into a tangible soundscape; a rooted subconscious memory. Pulling from a connective reverence for bass music, Lo recontextualizes the foundational principals of bass into a crystalized chandelier, where familiar reference points may glint briefly, but quickly fade into an immersive sonic landscape that commands deep listening. Her approach to production is defined by her ability to reintegrate the melodic composition of traditional dance music amongst her studied admiration of Croydon’s proto-dubstep scene of the early aughts. The result is in an enlightening reconstitution of subbass frequencies, two-step shuffle, and elusive sampling techniques.
