An underground indie pop artist.
Lisa Crawley is a New Zealand–born, Los Angeles–based indie-pop artist known for emotionally honest songs and quietly addictive melodies. A multi-instrumentalist, session player, and songwriter, she has earned four APRA Silver Scroll Award nominations and built a career that has taken her from Auckland to London, Melbourne, and now LA. Her music has appeared across film and television, including Nancy Drew, Good Trouble, Stumptown, and NBC’s This Is Us, where she also appeared as an on-screen musician. She’s shared stages with artists like John Mayer, Suzanne Vega, Paul Weller, and Simply Red, and performed everywhere from orchestral halls with the Auckland Symphony Orchestra to intimate venues like LA’s Hotel Café. Beyond her solo work, Lisa starred as ‘Girl’ in the Tony Award–winning musical Once and co-created the gig-theatre show Elizabeth with Bullet Heart Club. Her latest EP, New Girl Syndrome, continues her blend of introspective lyrics and melodic indie-pop. Her music has drawn praise from Rolling Stone, Stereogram, and Atwood Magazine, which called her work “an enchanting collection of radiant songs… immersive and provocative.” Quietly building a global audience, Lisa continues to craft songs that feel intimate, melodic, and unmistakably her own.
Lisa Crawley plays melodic indie-pop infused with heartfelt singer-songwriter lyricism and multi-instrumental piano-driven arrangements.
