An underground rock act.
Fun-loving rock band Little City leans on the innocence of its Midwestern roots to bring its listeners a unique brand of music that spans multiple styles. A life-changing move from a rural suburb of St Louis near the Mississippi River to the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles in the early 90’s set the stage for songwriter/guitarist/vocalist Matt Pfingsten to take a look at creating music from a unique place in time: when the lighthearted, easy-go-lucky vibe of the 80’s was giving way to the brooding, darker and angst-ridden rawness of the grunge era. Add in some folk, country, and maybe even a little late 70’s, and you get the fun, singable and unpredictable Little City sound. Relying heavily on emotional, heartfelt lyrics and soaring harmonic melodies, Little City delivers a modern but nostalgic sound that appeals to the young at heart and encourages us to roll the windows down, drive like there’s no tomorrow, and sing along at the top of our lungs.
Little City plays an energetic blend of alternative rock, roots rock, and 90s grunge with soaring harmonic melodies.
Little City is based in Los Angeles, California, carrying influences from their Midwestern roots.
