A nostalgic industrial artist.
Belgian techno provocateurs Lords of Acid emerged in the ’90s as one of the most controversial and unmistakable forces in electronic music. Fusing acid house, industrial energy, and unapologetically provocative themes, they built a global cult following with releases like Lust, featuring underground staples such as “I Sit On Acid”, “Rough Sex” and “I Must Increase My Bust.” As their sound evolved through Voodoo-U and Our Little Secret, the band pushed further into heavier, more industrial territory while achieving their first Billboard 200 entry. Their music became known for its relentless beats, tongue-in-cheek sexual satire, and signature vocal dynamic. After a period of hiatus and later reinvention, the group returned with Pretty in Kink in 2018, reaffirming their place in the modern electronic landscape. In 2025, vocalist Carla Harvey joined as the new “Acid Queen,” ushering in a new era of live performances and future recordings.
