They are renowned for Gemma’s “sublime voice”, Nicky’s intricate guitar work and spine-tingling live sound. They have received accolades for several live performances on BBC Radio and other stations, including being crowned “Best Folk Act” at the Radio Wigwam Folk Awards 2026. In 2021 their self-titled debut gained them many plaudits for the band’s haunting cover of Joy Division’s ‘Love will tear us apart’ and standout single, ‘Island’. 6 June 2025 saw the release of their second studio album “Now I Swim” with visionary artist and producer, Gerry Diver. Gerry has recorded and performed with a wide range of artists including Graham Coxon, Tom Robinson, Spiritualized, Van Morrison, Lisa Knapp and Shane MacGowan. ‘Now I Swim’ is a deeply personal record exploring ancestry, trauma and identity. Shades of 70s rock abound, drawing comparisons with Sandy Denny, Maddy Prior and Steely Dan. Their third studio album is set for release in early 2027.
