Lucky Salvadori
Lucky Salvadori (Luciano Eduardo Falico, 1987) is an Argentine musician, composer, and producer. Born in Buenos Aires, he started playing music at the age of 9. By just 11 years old, he immersed himself in the popular cumbia scene, influenced by guitarists and groups from that genre, performing in different neighborhoods of the city. In 2018, Lucky embarked on a one-way journey to Colombia, where he lived for three years. There, he performed with artists like Liliana Saumet from Bomba Estéreo. It was in this environment that he met Manu Chao, with whom he developed a collaboration that lasted for six years. During this time, he served as his guitarist and participated in the recording of Manu’s latest album, Viva Tú. In 2023, alongside Catalan dub and reggae producer Chalart 58, he released Chicha Dub, an album that blends Peruvian chicha cumbia with dub elements, which was debuted live at the Rototom Festival. The album was co-produced by Lucky and Chalart, with Lucky as the main composer of all the tracks. At the same time, during his tours with Manu Chao and thanks to his constant search for and experimentation with sound, his new project was born: Funky Chingolero, an EP entirely composed by him and co-produced with Manu. This work reflects an evolution in his sound, merging cumbia, reggaeton beats, electronic elements, and all the influences he has gathered over the years.
