My melodies are born in the fields where I played as a child, later losing myself in the alleys and bridges of Florence until reaching the sea and slowly ascending the hills of the Maremma, among the olive trees and vineyards, where wolves still run wild. And then off again, from the Arno to the Danube, far away, toward the Bavarian forests, where the roads are crossed by somnambulistic roe deer and flocks of travelling birds. Playing the Blues from the Rocky mountains to the Faroe Islands, and getting lost in the middle of Europe in a Bach choral or in a Beethoven Sonata, always ready for new improvisations. In the silences of magical places and encounters with special creatures, in the nostalgia and memories that embrace the joy of discovery, at home and around the world. All those places were the backdrop to writing these pieces of music and life that are my stories. Don’t forget to write yours. I’m sure that each, in its own way, will be splendid.
