Orange County’s “Punk Rawk Steady” outfit Mad Tab delivers high-voltage energy fueled by the raw urgency of the SoCal underground. Fusing aggressive riffs with arena-sized hooks, their sound lands at the crossroads of classic punk rock, ska punk, and alternative rock—built for fans of The Descendents, The Hives, Rancid and Bad Brains. Born in the OC scene and built by chaos, Mad Tab is what punk sounds like when it’s been through something real. Founding members Gram Tab (Guitar/Vox) and Dave Tab (Keys/Vox), alongside Scott Beattie (Bass/Vox) and Rob Wheeler (Drums/Vox), lock into a rare, deep chemistry that is tight, technical, and impossible to neatly categorize. Their defining single “Awake”—released via InnaNuttshell Rekordingz, the label founded by Fishbone’s Norwood Fisher—is an explosive melodic punk anthem. Recorded by Hayden Hanson and mixed by Jim Monroe (The Adolescents, The Dickies), the track hits like a rallying cry: fierce, focused, and impossible to shake. Operating as a fully independent unit with their own creative ecosystem, the band is currently operating at full intensity. Their debut 17-track record, "Alas!
