Almeida Mar Malade started as an escape from reality. A joyful experiment of two longtime friends fooling around with guitars, voices and percussion. Following whatever made them smile and feel warm, euphoric and a bit nostalgic. Creating a little world of sounds and songs they can travel and explore. Writing and recording their music wherever they feel at home and find a place and time to escape from the daily: At the coffee table, on a farm in the Black Forest or in an old children's room in the northern German nowhere, where they found all sorts of funny instruments - like “Bachflöten“ - they used to fool around with. Doing that, Mar Malade create songs which want nothing else than to take everyone on a little trip to dream away.
