Austin, TX based singer/songwriters and roots musicians, Mark Viator and Susan Maxey, have some stories to tell. You might want to listen. Their songs have a way of getting into in your head and living there a while. Maybe it’s the vocal harmonies, Mark’s approach to songwriting, or just the way you can feel the miles they have put in together as they’ve wandered around the country in search of larger stories and experiences. Susan’s central Texas upbringing comes through in her passionate vocal delivery, a voice rich and confident. Mark’s lifelong exploration of slide and fingerstyle guitar somehow lies in balance with his commitment to songwriting. These two blend exquisitely and complement each other, just as their Texas-meets-Louisiana musical heritages find a way to dance in sync. Maybe you should give them a listen.
