Marloma is a Sad-Girl Pop Rock band of multi-talented young musicians based in Phoenix, Arizona. With nearly 30,000 followers on Instagram, they’ve built a loyal fanbase drawn to their heartfelt lyrics and dynamic instrumentation that create an evocative soundscape. The band was founded by Alexis Myers, a 20-year-old singer-songwriter whose passion for music began in middle school. Alexis shared, “I started writing songs as a middle schooler and immediately knew it was what I wanted to center my life around.” A pivotal moment in her journey came after writing a song to honor a friend who passed away from cancer. Performing it at her friend’s celebration of life, Alexis discovered the transformative power of music: “It felt like I made a connection that was sentimental and joyful.
