They are celebrated for their sophisticated interpretations of classical repertoire, their dedication to their Scottish folk music heritage, and their innovative projects aimed at broadening the scope of string quartet music. The quartet gained significant recognition after winning the 9th Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition in 2017.
