Medara

Medara is a Romanian singer and songwriter blending alternative rock with pop and punk, driven by a powerful voice, theatrical energy, and an unapologetic diva persona. With a classical background as a pianist, she brings together the discipline of her musical upbringing with the instinct, attitude, and freedom of rock. Her first single, “ON TV” (2025), marked the beginning of her artist catalogue and her departure from the classical world she had known for years. Built around themes of wearing masks, performing versions of yourself, and searching for belonging in rooms you don't belong in, the song introduced the emotional and conceptual world behind her project. In the same year, Medara won Radio Guerrilla’s “Unsigned” artist contest, earning the attention of Romanian record label Electrecord. She later reached the live stages of "The Voice Romania" 2025, bringing her voice to a wider audience. In 2026, Medara stepped away from live performances for several months to focus on refining her sound, songwriting, and artistic persona. The pause became part of the process of defining what Medara is meant to be: a world where rock attitude meets pop instinct, theatricality meets vulnerability, and the larger-than-life diva persona exists alongside the outsider underneath it. Her first single from the upcoming debut album is set for release at the end of 2026, followed by her debut album in 2027.
