Michelangelo Scandroglio is a renowned bassist and composer who has received multiple awards for his exceptional talent. Recently, he was selected for the prestigious Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Scandroglio is known for his remarkable contributions to the Italian Jazz scene. Among his numerous accolades, Scandroglio was awarded at the Riga International Jazz Bass Competition and the Tomorrow’s Jazz Award by Veneto Jazz for best Italian talent. In 2019, he won first prize at the Conad Jazz Contest of Umbria Jazz, which was awarded by the legendary Paolo Fresu. Scandroglio was also recognized as the second-best talent of the year in the Top Jazz 2020 and emerged as the winner of the Getxo International Jazz Competition 2021 in Bilbao. These honors highlight Scandroglio’s extraordinary musical abilities and place him among the most promising Jazz musicians of his generation.
