Mick Clarke
A nostalgic blues rock artist.
Hi - Mick here. Just to say thanks for your support through the year, and here's wishing everyone a very Happy and Rockin' New Year. New single Elmore's 'Blues Before Sunsrise' released Friday 2nd January. Full details at www.mickclarke.com. For more info or just to say hi drop me a line at micclarke@hotmail.com. A little background - my first pro band was Killing Floor, part of the British blues boom in the late 1960s. The band backed Texas blues guitar star Freddie King and toured with the great Howlin' Wolf. We also produced a couple of albums which became cult items. In the 70s I co-formed SALT, who built a strong following in the UK, opening for Muddy Waters in London and playing at the Reading Festival in 1977. The Mick Clarke Band was established in the early 80s and became successful across Europe and in the USA. We played shows with Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamassa and others. In later years we reached out into India, playing the 'Simply the Blues' festivals in Mumbai and Bangalore, plus the Mostar Blues and Rock Festival in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Sweden Rock Festival with Iron Maiden. I've released 24 solo albums so far (roughly). These days I record from my own studio and put out regular releases. I hope you enjoy my music on Spotify - please 'follow' for all the latest . And thanks for getting us to 10,000 followers! Keep rockin' the blues!
