Mick's Jaguar

Mick's Jaguar is a hard rock ’n' roll band from New York City. Initially formed to do a one-off gig as a punk version of The Rolling Stones at a New Years Eve-Eve party in Brooklyn, RidingEasy Records eventually convinced the band to do an album of originals. That debut - Fame and Fortune - received acclaim across the board as Classic Rock magazine described it as “if Ace Frehley was in Thin Lizzy and it was the summer of 1977 and they were all really into the Sex Pistols and AC/DC"; the UK's Buzz Mag called it "a bovver rock version of Guns N' Roses" and other press compared the band to The Stooges, KISS, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Dictators, Rose Tattoo, and Poison Idea. They toured nationwide including appearances at the inaugural Psycho Smokeout Los Angeles and Desertfest New York, and opened for UK punk legends The Adicts, Aussie hard rock heroes Airbourne, the late Hank von Hell of deathpunk icons Turbonegro, and pub rock kingpins Cosmic Psychos. Following the release of Fame and Fortune, their original bassist disappeared into the Thailand jungle so the band enlisted friends Jack Ridley (Drowners) and Aaron Roche (Wye Oak, ANOHNI, Tōth) on bass and decamped to Brooklyn’s Figure 8 Recording with engineer Philip Weinrobe (Adrianne Lenker, Alanis Morissette). The resulting album - Salvation - is co-released by Totem Cat Records and Teepee Records, and early press has noted the influence of Metallica, Judas Priest, Motörhead, Misfits, Hanoi Rocks, the MC5 and the Ramones.
