An underground, nostalgic post-punk artist.
The real name is Dima Konov, born in Kurgan (South Ural, Russia). He has lived through music since childhood. And “lived” is not a coincidence: for him, music isn’t a profession — it’s a way of existing. The first breakthrough happened as part of the band Nevidimka, when their tracks became the soundtrack for the series “Peace! Friendship! Chewing Gum!”, bringing in the first wave of listeners. Today, MIMIKO performs solo, creating music at the crossroads of post-Soviet melancholy, street poetry, and indie. On stage, MIMIKO doesn’t hide behind an image. His concerts are raw, emotional performances where every song feels like an honest conversation. The artist lives through everything together with the audience. And the music becomes a way to speak about what matters — sincerely and without embellishment. Where sound turns into confession, and the stage becomes a place for the genuine.
