Mind:Freqnz, whose real name is Daniel Trojan, is a drum & bass DJ from Prague who first appeared on our electronic scene in 2014. However, he came into contact with music, particularly DnB, much earlier. Initially, he played mostly at private events, and it wasn’t until 2017 that he performed for the first time in front of a „foreign“ audience in a club. He gained more attention on the scene after winning the Storm DNB Combat with the Prague crew Snare Junkies in 2021. A pivotal moment in his career came in 2022 after the release of a videoset with Zigi SC from a sold-out party with Koven at Storm Club Prague. In recent years, you could hear him throughout the Czech Republic and neighboring European countries as part of the now-defunct project Beast:freqnz. His mixing style is characterized by dynamic switching of doubledrops, where he plays a lot of bootlegs, remixes, and the best of current neurofunk. His role model in DJing is British producer and DJ A.M.C., so in his sets, he often combines multiple sub-genres of drum & bass, but he is closest to the harder subgenre of neurofunk. Currently, you can look forward to a wide range of interesting mixes with other Czech and international DJs on platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube. In 2025, he plans to release his first track of original production.
