Mint Green make music that hits the sweet spot between emo, pop, and alternative, and they knock it out of the park on their debut record All Girls Go to Heaven Mint Green was founded in Boston, Massachusetts by Ronnica, an energetic, thoughtful, and passionate frontwoman and Daniel Huang, a meticulous, multi-instrumentalist who is never one to shy away from experimentation. Ronnica and Daniel met on Craigslist when Daniel moved to Boston to attend medical school. Despite the crazy scheduling and planning that goes into balancing both music and medicine, their dedication has led them to playing festivals such as Boston Calling, supporting acts like Paramore and Foo Fighters, and releasing their debut record with Pure Noise. They’re now based in Los Angeles, California writing their highly anticipated second record. Their debut album, All Girls Go to Heaven , wraps the bands strengths into a package that ties in neatly with a recent resuscitation of pop-punk. It’s an easy listen from front to back, and its best songs beg for repeats. Mint Green speaks to the members of the rock community that are POC, queer, women, and non-men. Mint Green hopes to continue transcending physical borders and societal barriers with their unique and evolving sound.
