Missing Ear

Matteo Gualeni AKA Missing Ear is a drummer and sound designer based in Milan.The key concept in this project, and interpreted by the artist as the awareness of the listener to actively understand the music in its genuine and purest form. In this way, the act of listening becomes an act of protest against the overstimulation displayed in the digital world. Following this principle, our sound perception is at the core of the creative process, working as a processing tool, and turning itself into the very same instrument. "Missing Ear", in which he is collaborating with various artists and AV visual designers like Marco Ciceri and MIcheal Barteloni. His work spans various media, including arts, film, audiovisual, immersive and interactive projects. He has also performed at events and venues such as Zeche Zollverein x New Now Festival [UNESCO] (DE), Museo Della Permanente (IT), Dongdaemun Design Plaza (Soeul) sharing main stages with aritst like the Warp's Scottish producer Hudson Mohawke, Manchester's queen of electro Afrodeutsche and well knon of the Italian AV scene LOREM.
