Nanseera is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter with an old soul and a distinctive style. The mixed-race, London-born performer grew up in Uganda and Ethiopia, moving to the United States for high school and college, during which she spent a semester in France. All her travels and adjustments bring a nuanced worldview into her music. Taking inspiration from artists like Tracy Chapman, Lianne LaHavas, and Sheryl Crow, she weaves together poetic stories of losing home, love, and sense of self, then somehow finding them again. Nanseera released her debut album American Odyssey on January 1st of 2022 and followed it up with a deluxe edition featuring her song Greensboro (Bonus Track). In 2024, she toured for the first time and released her single Colours. In 2025, she released her first EP I Wish You Love. Nanseera has performed for audiences on three continents and recently completed her second tour “The Dance Like You Tour” on the east coast of the US. Nanseera is planning an EP release soon so stay tuned!
