An underground pop artist.
Nation Haven isn’t just Nate’s artist name, it’s a place he goes to heal when the weight of the world becomes too much to bear. Nate grew up in a small town in Northern Virginia. Being a pastor’s kid had its struggles, but the church is where he learned to play music. At 22 years old Nate’s life took an unexpected turn. He found himself having a mental breakdown, leaving his family’s church and faith, and diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease; all within 6 months. This was the birth of Nation Haven. Nate’s music became his safe place to express his pain, and share his new found joys that life had given him through his healing journey. He began to teach himself the ins and outs of recording and music production. His songwriting still echos the large church music of his past, and now is married with musical influences he’s had throughout his life, but he had suppressed because of his religion; ranging from pop and R&B to heavy metal and rap. When you hear Nate’s music, you become apart of Nation’s Haven and you experience healing through his songs the same way he has. Nate is also an actor and has love for film and cinematic music. So no matter the genre his songs evolve into, his music always feels like you are the main character in a movie that healed a part of you that you didn’t realize was broken. So if you’ve found yourself in a dark night of the soul and are searching for the light and joy at the end of the tunnel, Nation’s Haven is the perfect place to be.
