A high-energy, underground melodic death metal act.
Established in 2018, Hungarian quintett Nefalem is destined to keep the flame of melodic death metal in a fresh and modern way, following the path carved by bands like Amon Amarth, Trivium, or Rotting Christ and Soilwork. In 2024. October 11th the band has released “A Realm Beyond” their 11 track-long debut album, to tell tales from the darkest depths of both imagination and history alike about false gods, pagan legends, afterlife, and baneful heroes. All is said in an epic musical world which also blends the style of black metal, death metal, metalcore and classic thrash metal with catchy melodies. Noticable that the band is still working with the original line up from 2018 with Ádám Forczek (Needless, Damnation) on vocals, Bence Horváth (Lovecrose, Grymheart, Kylfingar) on drums, Gergely Baricsa (ex-Charana Padma, ex-Eye for I) on bass, Balázs Csendőr (ex-Eye for I, ex-Lies of the Machine) and Tamás Garai on guitars. Since their first debut show in 2021 at Lowland Fest Nefalem has played numerous occasions at the cultic show venues in Budapest and also in the Czech Republic with bands like Watch my Dying, Monastery, Darkmess, Devoid, Mhorai and with many more emerging underground musicians.
Nefalem plays melodic death metal infused with elements of black metal, metalcore, and thrash metal, as showcased on their debut album A Realm Beyond.
