Niels Nielsen

Located in the south east parts of Sweden, multi instrumentalist Niels Nielsen continues to make solo records. His first album, Numbers (2005) was a collection of home recorded lofi anthems printed on CD-R, to be sold from his website and released by his and his dads own record label The Cortina Collective. His second album ”Welcome to the promising land of hi5ers and hopeless people” gained attention of newly started north american label Saint Marie Records who put out the album in the US. Followed up by a string of self released albums, Nielsen often found himself reviewed on american blogs, that at the time actually mattered. A small but dedicated following appeared and Nielsen played his first and only live show in the US in Brooklyn in 2011. After getting his music placed in numerous TV shows ads and movies Nielsen took a left turn when he ended up as the tour manager for the band Ghost. Nielsen also toured with other acts like SMK and Den Svenska Björnstammen as well as recording albums for bands like TID, MCC, Ghost, Tikkle Me, Spiders, Maim, Slidin’ Slim and more. In 2012 Nielsen started the band Dead Soul with Anders Landelius. The duo went on and released two albums with Razzia Notes/Century Media. In 2025 Niels Nielsen continues to release music. More unique and more human than ever. Because music is important.
