Nilüfer Türk Pop Müzik tarihinin en önemli sanatçılarından Nilüfer, 31 Mayıs 1955 yılında Cihangir'de doğdu. 15 yaşında henüz öğrenciyken, katıldığı Hafta Sonu Gazetesi'nin Altın Plak Ses Yarışması'nda aldığı birincilik geleceğini belirledi. 17 yaşında "Kalbim Bir Pusula" adlı ilk 45'liğini Odeon Plak'tan piyasaya çıkardı. Yüzlerce şarkı söyledi, yenileri de yolda.
