An underground, raw space rock artist.
“Make no mistake: young DC rockers One Way Out can fill a room.” One Way Out is an dirty shirt rock n' roll band originally from Washington D.C. Fresh off a move to New York City, two successful east coast tours, and three nominations in D.C.’s Wammie awards’ for their 2021 album, “The Sun, The Moon, The Truth,” the band released their third record, “Jimmy T’s Place,” on October 6th, 2023. The album’s accompanying tour took them out to Los Angeles and Nashville for the first time, as well as back home to support THE BOBBY LEES on their final tour. “Not only can they pack a room full of fans but they can play like seasoned champs, filling a space with the sound of rock ‘n’ roll.” In recent years the band has honed their live show, pairing their massive sound with loose, chaotic onstage antics, and taking cues from powerhouse live bands Osees and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. These bands’ influence shine through on “Jimmy T’s,” as the band melds frenetic psychedelic jams and diy, blown out production with the hypnotic rhythms of Can, and the intensity of grunge bands like Soundgarden and Alice In Chains. Being the band’s first self produced effort, they leave songs sounding raw and exploding with energy, injecting their live spirit into the record. To use the words of Spill Magazine, “This is, without a doubt, one of the most versatile rock bands around today.”
One Way Out plays a high-energy blend of dirty shirt rock n' roll, incorporating elements of space rock, stoner rock, psychedelic jams, and grunge, often with raw, self-produced sound.
One Way Out originated in Washington D.C., where they gained early recognition, and have since relocated to New York City.
