Osam

FR Osam est un artiste d’origine palestinienne dont la musique explore l’exil, l’héritage et l’identité. Issu d’une famille ayant fui la Palestine après la Nakba de 1948, il grandit entre le Qatar et la Jordanie, où la découverte du oud à l’enfance marque le début de son parcours musical. Autodidacte, il développe un langage personnel entre traditions moyen-orientales et influences contemporaines. À 18 ans, il s’installe à Paris, où il étudie le cinéma tout en composant son premier album, Born Now, sorti en 2019 sous le nom Hussam Aliwat. Après ce projet fondateur, il adopte le nom Osam, affirmant une nouvelle direction artistique et une vision plus affirmée. Born into a family displaced after the 1948 Nakba, he grew up between Qatar and Jordan, where discovering the oud at a young age sparked his musical journey. A self-taught musician, Osam blends Middle Eastern roots with contemporary influences. At 18, he moved to Paris, studying film while creating his debut album Born Now (2019), released under his birth name, Hussam Aliwat. Following this defining project, he adopted the name Osam, marking a clear artistic shift and a renewed creative vision.
