Pablo Murgier Pazdera is a pianist and composer, born in Argentina and based in France. For as long as he can remember, the piano has been part of his life, a way of connecting to other worlds and of questioning his way of being in the world. His path has been rich and at times erratic: he studied from a young age at a jazz school without claiming to be a "jazzman", trained in contemporary composition without defining himself as a "contemporary composer", and went deep into classical music while taking apart some of that world's codes. He moves through these worlds with the freedom and sometimes the difficulty of someone who chooses the margins, in search of a voice of his own. Why and how music is made, and the question of who it is for, are central to his work. His music is driven by the wish to bring art into different imaginations, territories and communities, and above all by the search for a musical language: a music that belongs to a present and to a place. Latest album: Sirocco (solo piano, 2026).
