Pathology

Since forming in 2006, PATHOLOGY has been a relentless force in death metal. Founded by drummer Dave Astor, co-founder of THE LOCUST and CATTLE DECAPITATION, the band forged its identity through punishing grooves, devastating riffs, and uncompromising brutality. Blending extreme aggression with memorable songwriting, PATHOLOGY’s sound is defined by thunderous drums, relentless guitars, guttural vocals, and dark themes. The band has evolved over the years without sacrificing the intensity at its core. PATHOLOGY has toured throughout North America, Mexico, and Europe, sharing stages with legendary acts including OBITUARY, DEICIDE, NILE, VADER, IMMOLATION, and GRAVE, to name just a few. Their crushing live performances have earned them a formidable reputation in the international death metal scene. With an extensive catalog released through labels including VICTORY RECORDS and NUCLEAR BLAST, PATHOLOGY has built a dedicated worldwide following of over 225,000 across social media. Now entering a new chapter with DISTORTION / REIGNING PHOENIX MUSIC, PATHOLOGY continues to push forward. Nearly two decades after its formation, the mission remains unchanged: deliver uncompromising death metal with the aggression, precision, and intensity that have defined the band from the beginning.
