An underground alternative rock act.
Posh are an Italian alternative rock band formed in 2001 by Salvo Minnella, Federico Salemi and Alberto Minnella. Active throughout the first decade of the new millennium, the band gained international recognition by representing Italy at the MIDEM International Music Festival in Cannes as one of the country’s most promising emerging acts. In 2009, Posh temporarily suspended their activity. After more than a decade, the band returned in 2021 with a reinterpretation of Running Up That Hill, the iconic 1980s hit by Kate Bush, marking the beginning of a new creative phase. In the same year, Posh were named Best Alternative Rock Band by the Berlin-based music magazine The Further, recognizing their comeback and renewed artistic direction. During 2021, Posh released four original singles Mr. Anyone, Time Has Come, Plan B (featured in two Spotify Editorial Playlists) and Open Arms all included in the album Port Out, Starboard Home, released in March 2022. After a two-year hiatus, the band resumed their release schedule with the single Stoned (June 30, 2024), followed by Close Your Eyes (August 2024), WhatElse (February 2025) and Fight Against Yourself (April 2025). On October 11, 2025, Posh released I’m Begging You, followed by Cherry Blossom in December 2025, continuing to refine their distinctive alternative rock sound with a darker, more contemporary edge. The new Album "Choke on Your Secrets" arrives in 2026.
