A nostalgic, underground power pop act.
Formed in Belfast in 1978, Protex stands as a pioneering force of the early Northern Irish punk and power pop movement. Known for razor-sharp singles released on Rough Trade and Polydor, the band combines driving punk energy with infectious melodic hooks. Their enduring legacy is cemented by classic late-70s anthems like Don't Ring Me Up.
