An underground jazz fusion artist.
Rafał Łukasik is a Warsaw-based guitarist and composer drawn to music that refuses to stay in one place. His sound moves freely between modern jazz, blues, cinematic music and contemporary guitar language, shaped as much by the world around him as by the musicians who inspire him. At the heart of Rafał’s music is a search for honesty and beauty without boundaries. Influenced by artists such as Kurt Rosenwinkel and Aaron Parks, as well as by Nick Johnston, film music and the raw vocabulary of blues, he treats style not as a set of rules, but as a starting point. His compositions can shift from intricate, modern jazz lines to spacious melodies and unexpected textures — always with the same goal: to make the music feel alive. Rather than fitting into a genre, Rafał is interested in creating his own musical language. His debut album brings together these influences into a personal, guitar-driven world where melody, atmosphere and improvisation meet. Based in Warsaw and currently studying at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Rafał has performed and collaborated across Poland, both as a bandleader and sideman.
