Raffaella

Raffaella is a New York born, Minneapolis based artist whose songwriting turns big existential questions into something warm and lived-in. "When I was writing this record, my world got smaller and my feelings got bigger... I started questioning for the sake of questioning, analyzing morality to death, experimenting with drugs, blurring the line between dreams and reality..." These shapeless concepts loomed large, but not as large as the source of their shadow. Though she may not have found an answer or a God to provide one, what she did find was acceptance: "I'm so large with not knowing," a sentiment she welcomes with wonder: "but to try, to persevere, feels like stepping towards a heaven I know l'll never reach, but one whose light I can still feel." Raffaella's debut album is a midwestern-soaked meditation on faith, belonging, and the beauty of believing without proof. The first single, Courtney, is out now.
