An underground jazz act.
Born from late-night jams in Brussels jazz clubs and drawn together by a shared fascination with raga and jazz, reed player Nathan Daems, award-winning drummer Lander Gyselinck and Italian bassist Marco Bardoscia merged their passions for long-form Indian ragas, Carnatic rhythm, and deep jazz tradition. What became Ragini Trio has led to outstanding music, which on their second album, Peace The New Jazz, featured Indian classical vocalist Sawani Mudgal and Franco-Serbian pianist Bojan Z. Whilst each musician never ceased to develop their craft individually — collaborating with Paolo Fresu, Michel Portal, Ibrahim Maalouf and founding groundbreaking acts such as Black Flower, STUFF., and Lander & Adriaan — Ragini Trio stands out as an all-star ensemble that outshines in musicianship, freedom, and joy.
Ragini Trio plays an experimental fusion of long-form Indian classical ragas, South Indian Carnatic rhythms, and contemporary European jazz.

Their live performances feature dynamic instrumental interplay between saxophone, drums, and double bass driven by deep improvisational freedom.
The trio was formed through late-night jazz club jams in Brussels, Belgium.
