Randy Langford is a self-described song scrivener. Songs come to him, and some of them stick around. Those that stay, he writes down. From there, they either emerge into performable music or not. Some become complete musical compositions almost immediately. Others develop over days, weeks, months, years, even decades. Those that don't mature into coherent tunes serve as content to be combined with other ideas, which may lead to who knows where. When that happens, Randy is as surprised as anyone to discover what forms it takes. Randy is joined on that journey of discovery by his musical cohort and life partner, Alisa Carr. Alisa's training as a classical pianist brings sophistication and order to the haphazard approach inherent in Randy's style. Their collaboration can genuinely result in a whole that is greater than the sum of the parts. "Me & You," Randy's and Alisa's third album together, includes songs written over the course of 15 years, each depicting one of many facets of a love relationship. From falling in love, to intense conflict, and all in-between, the lyrics and signature rhythms tell stories that are relatable, evocative, and fun. The songs included are of several genres - rock n roll, country, folk, Americana, as well as the signature style that's come to be known as Shamanacana! "Me & You" follows "Daylight" and "Choices," from the Randy and Alisa collaboration. As each project has emerged, the prowess and character of each has deepened!
