Rats and Daggers

A POWERTRIO in search of the razor-sharp edge between heavy and punk. Rats and Daggers focuses the intention of IDLES, the schwung of QOTSA and the fuck-it-all attitude of Amyl and The Sniffers into flying punkrock projectiles that awaken moshpits instantaneously. Live they are both disarming and exceptionally expressive whilst they play energetic, sincere punk straight from the tips of their toes. Sure to stir everyone in the room and offer them a moment of temporary escape. In the spring of 2024 they will release their second EP Half Hanged with the Half Hanged EP Release tour through the Netherlands and Paris. A more experimental EP with new musical influences such as the anxious urgency of Nine Inch Nails, the carefree danceability of LCD Soundsystem, and the intimidating fuzz of the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World face-offs. Rats and Daggers have played at Sniester (twice), Valkhof Festival, Offroad, the Melkweg, Ekko, Vera and a good 21 shows at Popronde 2022. They supported bands as LIFE, Sprints, Pigsx7 and Screaming Females and set up their own yearly festival Beware of Banshees: a festival that focuses on setting a new norm in gender diversity on stage within heavy music.
